Don’t Be A ‘Donald’, Vote In Person
A couple of days ago Mr. and Mrs. Donald Trump voted in Florida even though they did so via Currier. This note to you today is not about Mr. Trump’s many shining faces, the Mail issue being yet another chat for another time. Today I am talking about how much do we care for our own Nation? If we are serious about loving our people, our families and our neighborhoods, then turn up in person and vote on election day! This election this November is the most important election in my lifetime and I am 64 (1956).
Folks, let us not make the mistake of laziness, show up in person and vote. Do not let either side steal your vote, make sure it is counted, show up vote in person. I know what some folks will say concerning the Covid-19 reality and ‘boots’ on the ground on election day. Yes it will increase our chances of us getting the darn stuff but I have a question for all of us to answer. With about a 5% chance of catching the virus ourselves are we willing to try to save our Democracy by showing up in person and getting our vote counted? Another question for us, do we consider ourself to be of more importance than all the other people in the Nation? If you/I were put into this following situation what would we do? The plot would be this, either you die and all 330 million of your countrymen live, or do we stay alive and they all die? Is our Democracy worth even a 5% chance? Even though I am very high risk, it sure as hell is to me.
