I Lost 34 Pounds Last Year With No Exercise

This is not a commercial to try to sell you anything, this is just a statement of reality. First of all I am a 64 year old male who has lots of health issues including a very bad heart so exercising is out. I find that even bending over to pick up a piece of cat fur can end up painful. These are the reasons why I said no exercise as to walk from room to room is often quite a chore.

On January 1st of last year I stepped on the bathroom scale before my shower and the springs blew up, just kidding. But the darn thing said 251 pounds which was the heaviest I had ever been in my life, my previous high mark had been 248. So I decided then and there that my new New Years Resolution was to lose 52 pounds in the next year (52 weeks) which ended on December 31st. This 52 pounds would have put me at 199 pounds on Jan 1st. As I said earlier, I lost 34 pounds last year, not 52, yet it is difficult to drop the weight when you can’t come close to breaking a sweat to exercise.

So, I had to settle for 34 pounds of fat and muscle lost in 52 weeks. This put me down to 217 pounds on this now passed Jan. 1st. So, my goal for this year ( providing I live through it ) is to lose 34 pounds again, if I can do it once I can do it again, hopefully. That would take me down to 183 pounds and my main goal is to carry about 173–178 Lbs. What I have done different is simply portion size and stopping about 90% of all treats. Who knows, maybe this time next year you can be telling us how well you did. I wish you all well, God’s love to you all.
